Anacia Weiskittel is the Owner and Artistic Director of Degas Dance Studio where she has built her vision from the ground up, of a top professional training facility focusing on technique and artistry with real world professional experience and opportunities.  She was honored to receive the 2017 Youth America Grand Prix LA Outstand Studio award and believes it was truly a team effort with an incredible faculty, dedicated dancers and families.  She is a big picture visionary, a fearless leader and always on the cutting edge of her industry.

Before opening the studio she was the founder, Artistic Director and CEO of the non-profit organization ACFCLA – Artist Community For Change Los Angeles.  Anacia danced professionally for over 10 years with credits including:  the motion picture “Tank Girl” choreographed by Adam Shankman, Acro-dancer for the world famous Follies Bergere, performer for industrials that included former President of the United States, key note speaker George Bush Sr. and General Schwarzkopf and tons more.

She found her true passion to be teaching and has been teaching and choreographing in studio, for live events and film for over 30 years.  She is the mother of 3 amazing children.  She’s so proud of all of her alumni students that are dancing professionally and/or using their skills to do great things.  She continues to offer mentorship throughout their lives.




Rei Aoo – RIP (was a beloved member of our faculty and the foundation of many of our dancers. She will forever be in our hearts and steps.) 

In 2014 Anacia Weiskittel and Degas Dance Studio created the “Rei Aoo YAGP Memorial Scholarship” in which each year one classical ballet student who demonstrates exceptional work ethic, passion and dedication would receive a weekly private coaching lesson for the season approximately 9 months in preparation of their classical variation.   In honor and loving memory of Rei Aoo.


Jennifer Currier: YAGP Director -  Jennifer brings over 15 years of teaching and training experience, having run several Ballet programs in the Los Angeles area. Jennifer feels privileged to have trained with Ballet Master Teachers such as Maria Tallchief, Melissa Hayden, & Yvonne Mounsey (New York City Ballet), Alexander Godunov (Bolshoi) Irina Kosmovska (Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, School of American Ballet), Rosemary Vallaire (Royal Ballet), Jurgen Schneider (American Ballet Theater) and Patricia Barker (Pacific Northwest Ballet).

Jennifer received her first company contract at the young age of 17 and danced internationally as a Soloist and Corps de Ballet member. After retiring from her Ballet career, Jennifer went on to have a long career in Commercial dance in Los Angeles, giving her the invaluable experience of being a well-rounded dancer with a long dance career. As YAGP Program Director, Jennifer is excited to pass on the knowledge and inspiration of her mentors to the students at Degas Dance studio!


Kobi Rozenfeld - His professional reputation and heightened demand in the dance industry has led him to work with some of the best entertainers and most notable celebrities in Hollywood such as Beyonce, Britney Sprears, Natasha Bedingfield, and Macy Gray.  His most recent choreography credits include this summer’s national commercial featuring the new “Wonder Woman” - Gal Gadot.  He choreographed the reunion of 90‘s boyband “Hi Five” in Israel. Kobi’s credentials also include directing and choreographing the world tour of "Barbie Live"- The Musical, produced by "Mattel " and EMS.  In addition, Kobi has choreographed for the British singer and songwriter, Natasha Bedingfield, at the "LifeBall" concert in Vienna and Macy Gray with her hit “Beauty in the World”.   Topping this list, is Kobi’s work with Britney Spears during her 2009 comeback and choreography for the incredible pop sensation, Beyonce, in her 2009-2010  I Am... World Tour.

Kobi also choreographed for Israel’s “So You Think You Can Dance” and for the musical show in California’s Legoland Amusement Park. In January of 2010, he performed alongside Beyonce as one of the dancers at the Grammy Awards.  He is choreographer for Keshet Chaim Dance Ensemble and teaches master classes all over the world.  Kobi is passionate about sharing his love for dance with all those he comes into contact with, motivating and inspiring his students, and leaving them with a thirst for more! 



Daria Tertova “DASHA” is one of the most exceptional dancer/choroegraphers in professional community today.  Dasha is a unique choreographer, with a wide range of skills and performing abilities.  She was born in Moscow and grew up in the heart of Russian Ballet training.  She blossomed into a beautiful technical dancer, who over the years has worked with companies such as Moiseyev Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet(Moscow) and Riverdance company( European tour).  Dasha also became known in Europe as a principal dancer and actress in world famous productions like `` Cats`` (Moscow),``Romeo&Juliet`` (Moscow), ``CHICAGO``(Tour), ``Burn the floor`` (London) etc.

After receiving her Masters ( Russian Ballet Academy, Russian Theater Academy) Dasha made her way West - towards new goals and creative dreams and has been working in US.  Since then her professional credits include :  Madonna, Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Cirque Du Soleil (MJ), MTV Music Awards, Billboard Awards, Pharrell ,Daft Punk and many more.   She continues to teach master  classes across the US and internationally ( NYC, DC , Italy, Russia, Netherlands, Japan, Israel and Spain).

Dasha  is professor at American  Music and Dramatic Academy College (AMDA LA). 
In June 2015 Dasha became one of Artistic Directors of the renowned Millennium Dance Complex in LA- MDC The Company and MDC Crew.  She received 2 Years in a row( 2016 and 2017) the destinguished Outstanding Choreography Award from YAGP Youth American Gran Prix- the pearl of Classical and Contemporary ballet Competitions. 


Lilian Manansala is a Los Angeles-based actor, dancer, and choreographer.  She has choreographed for television, film, and stage, including abcfamily's Pretty Little Liars, Nickelodeon's The Thundermans, and Disney Channel’s That's So Raven, Cory in the House, Hannah Montana, Sonny with a Chance, So Random, Good Luck, Charlie, Kickin' It, Dog with a Blog, Kirby Buckets, Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything, Crash & Bernstein, Disney Jr.’s Choo, Choo Soul,  Best Friends Whenever, Bizaardvark! and most recently, Disney’s Raven’s Home.

She choreographed the pilot episodes for Nickelodeon’s It’s ON!; Disney’s Hannah Montana, Keke & Jamal, and Better Days; and abc’s Kings of Van Nuys.

In New York, Lilian was on faculty at Broadway Dance Center and Dancespace; in Los Angeles, she has taught for AMDA Los Angeles, Retter’s Academy of Dance, Dance Studio 84, Burbank School of Ballet, and Pacifica Christian High School. She currently teaches for Degas Dance Studio and for Fusion Dance and TAMJAMS, choreographing and teaching throughout the country.


Sara Silkin teaches  a fusion of contemporary techniques that focus on performance and improvisation. She earned her B.A from UCLA and her MFA from USC School of Cinematic Arts. She has taught at the Sydney Drama School in Australia, Le Centre de Danse du Marais in France, Joffrey SF Summer Intensive, and is currently on faculty at Marat Daukayev School of Ballet and Laguna Dance Theater.

Her professional highlights have been performing for Laura Marling in London and for the Chicago Philharmonic, both Kitty Mcnamee’s choreography.
She has been an assistant choreographer to Barak Marshall and Sarah Elgart. She has performed for Heidi Duckler (Heidi Duckler Dance Theater), Kitty McNamee (Hysterica Dance Company), Josie Walsh (BalletRed), Nguyen Nguyen (LAMA), Laura Karlin (Invertigo Dance Theatre), IN/EX Dance Project, and AXIOM (Denna Thomsen). Commercially she has danced for Ryan Heffington, Nina Mcneely, Teddy Forance, and SuperDave.

As a choreographer for the camera she has created movement for the James Franco feature film the “The Mad Whale”, commercials for Samsung and Converse, and music videos for the band Hundred Waters. 


Danielle Towne has lived in Los Angeles for 17 years working as a top dancer and choreographer. As a dancer, Danielle has worked with many artists including Puff Daddy, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, The Black Eyed Peas, Aretha Franklin, Katy Perry, NIN, Avril Levigne, and Ciara. She has appeared on television shows and commercials like Glee, Fresh Beat Band, Dancing With the Stars, SYTYCD, X Factor, Chevy, and Sprint. Danielle uses her extensive dance experience to support her impressive artistic vision as a choreographer.

She has choreographed for a wide range of jobs including Broadway style performances like the latest Beauty and the Beast Premiere, jazz numbers for Paula Abdul and stage shows for Disney. She co-directed and choreographed a multi-million dollar show in Macau, China called "House of Magic," as well as multiple stage shows for the House of Blues and TV performances like Criminal Minds and Soul Of America Pilot.

Danielle has choreographed productions for Industrials, Benefits, and festivals including HP, American Heart Association, Carlton Hair Show, and many more. Lastly, Danielle has always maintained her love and passion for teaching. She still finds time to teach master classes and choreograph winning dances for kids and studios across the globe.  She feels honored to share her knowledge and experiences of the industry to help inspire the next generation of dancers. 



Mike Langford has been working as a professional choreographer and instructor teaching all over the country and abroad for 17years.  He is a well rounded jazz, hip hop, and contemporary dancer and has danced for Toby Mac, Zhu, Raven Simone Disney’s “That’s So Raven”, Sheila E and many more.  He is currently the assistant choreographer and music producer for Cantinas Dance Project under the direction of Emmy award winning choreographer Bradley Rapier of the Groovaloos.

Mike loves to share his gift and passion with every student he teaches.  Through dance it is his number one goal to bring students to levels in life they may have found impossible. 



Kris Engelstad From Chicago to LA, Kris is one of the hottest up and coming choreographers and teachers on the Jazz Funk scene.  She’s a graduate of Loyola Marymount University, member of Essence Ladies under Gigi Torres, member of Mischief Makers and Assistant Director of Trouble Makers under the Maker Empire umbrella established by Beau Fournier.

Her credits include Rihanna, Karmin, East Los High and commercials for Converse and Behr Paint to name a few.  She’s a technically diverse choreographer that is currently one of the most sought after dancers in the industry. 




Laurel Penn was born in Los Angeles and raised in Dallas, Texas. She started dancing at the age of 3, training in Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Throughout her years of training, she studied several types of dance genres, spent many years on the competitive circuit, and received many scholarships and awards from the top choreographers in the industry. At the age of 12, she was chosen by Debbie Allen to dance in her original production of Pepito's Story, at Bass Hall in Ft. Worth, as a ball lady and understudy for the principle role of "Butterfly".

Laurel started her teacher assistant training at the age of 13 with the Dallas Black Dance Academy and was a principle dancer on their Junior Performing Company. She graduated with honors from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where she studied dance and performed with their Repertory 1 ensemble.

Laurel is also active and very dedicated to the film and television industry. To name a couple, she has credits such as season 4 of the hit show "Friday Night Lights" and season 1 of "American Crime" directed by Oscar winner John Ridley. She is also currently performing in theater productions around Los Angeles. Signed with MSA for dance in LA, Laurel is dedicated to the growth and development of the students she encounters, setting choreography and acting. 



Katina Muller has 27 years of dance teaching experience and loves seeing her students achieve their artistic/athletic aspirations and watch many go on to have professional careers.  Katina’s 15 year professional dance career has allowed her to perform with 3 cruise lines, European theme parks, numerous musicals/concerts with Tom Jones, Tim Conway, Jay Leno, Kenny Rogers, Matt Ashford, Stephanie Block, and The Brian Setzer Orchestra. Professional choreography credits over the last 24 years include work with Joss Whedon/Angel, Commercials (WB, Friends, and FF Bridal), 15 theme parks all over the US and Europe, Carnival Cruise Lines, and my favorite, musicals.

A few of her favorite musicals choreographed include Westside Story, Bye-Bye Birdie, Guys and Dolls, Two Gentlemen of Verona, and Newsies.  She is honored to be nominated by NYCDA for 3 national choreography awards and won two NYCDA national awards for concept. Katina was also the Creator & producer of the TV Pilot KidamaJIGs.  She is the Mom of four kids; Helen Keller said it best "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing…" I choose adventure!  


Britney Hall:  grew up in Alexandria, Virginia and started dancing at the age of 6. After graduating high school, she completed a year at Columbia College Chicago where she studied Commercial Dance. Shortly after she knew she wanted to follow her dreams in Los Angeles, California to pursue her professional dance career. While dancing in LA, she’s grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to train and work with some of LA’s top choreographers including, NappyTabs, Michael Rooney, Sabrina Phillip, Adam Parson, Matt Steffanina, Christina Woodard, Lane Napper, Marvin A. Smith, Dana Foglia and Galen Hooks to name a few. She has danced on various television shows including Nickelodeon’s “Victorious,” TLC’S “What Not To Wear,” ABC Family’s “Bunheads.” She has danced in commercials for The Superbowl featuring P.Diddy and American Career College.  Her music video credits include Walk The Moon’s “Tightrope,” IM5 feat Bella Thorne “Can’t Stay Away,” and a video for the movie Dear White People soundtrack “Get Your Life.”

She has also danced in many short films, community performances, stage shows, musicals and a live Disney Show at the El Capitan Theater. Her latest accomplishments include working on the Paula Abdul Tribute choreographed by one of the world’s top choreographers, Michael Rooney. More of recent opportunities include dancing on Helene Fischer’s Farbenspiel 2015 World Tour and The Helene Fischer Show which aired on German Television last Christmas Eve.   She hopes to bring great energy into the studio and is excited to get inspired and from all of you!


Alexis Weisbrot was raised in South Florida and relocated to Los Angeles in 2016 in order to grow her burgeoning dance and fitness career. Alexis has over 25 years of experience studying and teaching Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, and Musical Theatre. She is a graduate of Valencia State College in Orlando, Fla., where she earned a degree in Dance Performance, and in 2013, Alexis furthered her education with an intensive Pilates Teacher Training Certification through Pilates legend Lolita San Miguel, marrying her love of dance with her interests in health and wellness. In addition to San Miguel, highly regarded worldwide as an expert in the Pilates Method, Alexis has trained with UARTS, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Arch, Koresh Dance Company, Rennie Harris, and Maria Konrad (Florida Dance Association, REACH—A Dance Theater Collective).

Alexis has a deep love for performing and concert dance, but her biggest passion is teaching. Her unique combination of training and experience makes for a strong technical teacher with a creative and vibrant mind.
